- Absolute maximum input level without attenuation is +10 dBm. This provides safe headroom for typical test signals and helps protect the internal front end during normal operation. - Absolute maximum input power with 30 dB attenuation is +20 dBm for short durations. With an attenuation pad, higher input power can be applied temporarily without permanent damage, enabling short term high level testing. - Input IIP3 (third order intermodulation) with 0 dB attenuation is +15 dBm. Indicates the linearity of the input stage and the level at which third order intermodulation products become significant for two-tone or multi-tone signals. - 1 dB compression point (P1dB) at +2 dBm with 0 dB attenuation. Defines the onset of compression at the input and sets the usable dynamic range for small signal to moderate saturation conditions. Use scenarios - RF test bench characterization: assess device linearity and saturation limits by applying known input levels and analyzing IMD behavior using the IIP3 and P1dB specifications. - High power testing with protection: use the 30 dB attenuated path to withstand higher input signals temporarily, protecting downstream components while performing higher level measurements. - Multi-tone and IMD testing: evaluate third-order distortion and compression points for components such as amplifiers, mixers, or receivers to inform linearity budgets and system design.
