AD9850 and AD9851 DDS Waveform Generator Module Key features Dual channel sine and square outputs: two sine wave outputs and two square wave outputs available for flexible signal generation. Wide frequency options: AD9850 model covers 0 to 40 MHz and AD9851 model covers 0 to 70 MHz. Note that at higher frequencies (above 20–30 MHz) harmonics increase and waveform quality may degrade. Square wave output is available up to 1 MHz. Improved waveform quality: a 70 MHz lowpass filter is included to improve signaltonoise ratio and overall waveform fidelity. Flexible amplitude control: a dedicated pin for generating the DAC reference allows adjustment of output amplitude to suit different applications. Adjustable square wave duty cycle: the comparator reference input is driven by a variable resistor, enabling tuning of the square wave duty cycle. Stable oscillators: AD9850 version uses a 125 MHz active oscillator; AD9851 version uses a 30 MHz active oscillator for reliable operation. Compact form factor: module measures 5 cm by 2.6 cm for easy integration into projects and enclosures.
