Substrate preparation The substrate should be clean, compact, and free of grease. Any residue of emulsion or oil paints, as well as loose sand grains, should be removed with a putty knife or a rough brush. Highly absorbent substrates should be primed with a deep-penetrating primer. Application Mortar preparation . Prepare the mortar by pouring 1 kg of powder to 0.22 – 0.24 l of water (4.4 – 4.8 l of water per 20 kg bag), then mix thoroughly with a low-speed mixer until a uniform consistency is achieved. Wait approximately 3 minutes and mix thoroughly again. Mortar workability time: approximately 3 hours. Applying the adhesive. Apply the adhesive to the prepared substrate using a notched trowel. In the case of heated surfaces, turn off the heating before laying the tiles. It can be turned on at least 7 days after laying the tiles.
