The speed controller has over-current protection, stall protection and alarm output function, better than most controllers on the market.
This controller is specially designed for motion control card (such as for MACH3, USB CNC or PLC, etc.) to control DC motor. It has the functions of speed regulation, stall alarm output, over-current protection, short-circuit protection, status indication. The speed controller can be combined with various motion control cards, PLC, etc. It can also independently manually control the motor.
Through setting, it can control various types of DC brush motors of 12V-50VDC voltage, less than 15A current, and the power is less than 600W. For example, DC motors of DC pump, fan, carving machine spindle and other instruments and equipment can be controlled precisely.

When the motor is controlled manually and independently, the PWM fundamental frequency of the motor can be controlled by the jumper, which can be used to match different motors and to minimize the noise at different speeds. Fundamental frequency has 3 levels, short circuit of the left 2 pins with jumpers is 2.1 KHZ, short circuit of the right 2 pins is 2.9 KHZ, and if none of the 3 pins are short-circuited, it is 11.1 KHZ.
There are two ways to control the motor: whether to independently and manually control motor by the jumper or to control the motor by external PWM signal connection with control card or PLC. External PWM input requirements are level of 3.5-12V VPP, frequency of 1K-5KHZ, and duty cycle of 0%-93%.
The controller has alarm output function. When the motor is stalling, it can send a signal to the control card or PLC, let the control card or PLC stop and other related actions.
It has power indicator light, stalling/over-current alarm indicator light.
When the motor is controlled manually and independently, the corresponding potentiometer on the controller can be adjusted to control the speed of the motor.
Input connector type: Internal current resistance is 330 ohms. When connected to a PLC, a 1.5-2.7K ohms resistor should be connected in series. If used for MACH3 and other 5V level motion control cards, it can be connected directly.
Alarm output connector type: maximum driving current is 12MA. If used for MACH3 card, NPN-E port is connected to GND. NPN-C port is connected to P10 (or other input port can also work).

Wiring Method:
1)GND: 12-50 VDC power supply negative
2)12-50 V: 12-50 VDC power supply positive
3)M+, M- are connected to two wires of DC motor, no need to distinguish positive or negative.
4)PWM+: Positive terminal for external PWM signal and for MACH3 control cards, negative terminal of PWM for PLC
5)PWM-: Negative terminal for external PWM signal and for MACH3 control cards, negative terminal of PWM for PLC
6) NPN-E: Alarm NPN output transmitter pole. Connected to the GND for MACH3 cards.
7) NPN-C: Alarm NPN output collector pole. Connected to the P10 input terminal for MACH3 cards.
8) OC-ADJ-T: Over-current setting potentiometer. A letter corresponds to 2A, the maximum can be set as 20A.
