Gases heavier than air: liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), etc. Gases lighter than air: natural gas, artificial gas, biogas, etc. Install the detector in the right place, according to the weight of the gas. Gases heavier than air: Install a detector 0,3-1,0 meters above the floor and within 1,5 meters of the gas source. Gases lighter than air: Install a detector 0,3-1,0 meters below the ceiling and within 1,5 meters of the gas source. When installing in your home, keep in mind that the installation site should not be too close to the gas stove to prevent the detector from being damaged by the flame.
