Methyl folate 90 tablets
Now Foods Methyl Folate is a supplement based on methylfolate, a biologically active form of folate, which is used for essential bodily functions such as normal cell division and the synthesis of neurotransmitters and DNA.
Folate contributes to maternal tissue growth during pregnancy. Low maternal folate status is a risk factor for the development of neural tube defects in the developing fetus. It is also involved in normal amino acid synthesis, normal blood formation and the proper functioning of the immune system. Folic acid is very important for the proper metabolism of homocysteine. It contributes to normal psychological function and helps reduce tiredness and fatigue.
It is recommended to take 1 tablet a day with a meal.
For adults only. Elderly patients and individuals with conditions that may affect vitamin B-12 absorption should have their vitamin B-12 status checked frequently when taking this product, since high doses of folic acid may mask vitamin B-12 deficiency. Consult a physician if you are taking medication (especially phenobarbital, phenytoin, primidone, and methotrexate) or have a medical condition (especially any condition involving nutrient malabsorption).
Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a balanced and varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Keep out of reach of young children.
