A silver reflector is a commonly used reflector. The effect of this reflector is easily reflected in the subject's eyes, resulting in a wide and brightly captured light. It's used when it's cloudy and the light is mostly above the subject's head. Place it directly under the subject's face, just outside the camera's perspective, and reflect the top light onto the subject's face.
