CONSTRUCTION INSTRUCTIONS – ELECTRIC TESTER To extend the life of your Pool Checker PC-102 and ensure accurate results: - Keep the switch in the OFF position (fully turned to "pH") when not in use. - Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. - Do not immerse the probe in any liquid other than pool or spa water. - Regularly check battery condition. The unit requires one 1.5V AA alkaline battery. CHLORINE CALIBRATION SET POINT: Before first use, calibrate the tester to match your pool or spa water using the following steps: 1. Test your pool or spa water using a standard liquid test kit. 2. Record the chlorine level reading (e.g., 1.5 ppm). 3. No calibration is needed for pH. CALIBRATION STEPS: A. Insert a 1.5V AA battery into the compartment in the handle (positive side up). B. Hold the tester in one hand and the probe in the other. C. Insert the clean metal probes into the water up to the black band. D. Gently stir the water with the probe. E. With the probe still in the water, turn the dial fully to the left toward "CL", then slowly turn to the right until the needle matches the chlorine level obtained from the liquid test kit (e.g., 1.5 ppm). F. Remove the probe from the water without adjusting the dial.
