An external resistor sets the RTD sensitivity, and a high-precision Δ-Σ ADC converts the ratio of the RTD resistance to the reference resistance to a digital output.The MAX31865 inputs have overvoltage protection up to 45 V, providing configurable RTD and cable open and short condition detection.
