Ultra-portable tool at 6.5 cm long, 2.5 cm wide, 1.2 cm deep, and only 12 g — light enough to carry in a pocket or purse. Manufactured from rigid, food-grade compliant plastic with smooth matte finish to prevent slippage. Functions with all standard UK-sourced hand needles (John James, Dritz, Clover) and domestic thread brands (DMC, Anchor, Madeira). The automatic mode uses internal spring tension to deploy and retract a fine-gauge hook upon button press; the manual mode uses a pivoting plastic lever that exposes a precision-formed stainless steel hook. Tested successfully on needles with eye diameters as small as 0.3 mm and threads down to 100-weight silk.
